Since we had firewood coming today and Xaria is still too cheap to pay for parking, and we have both been up since 5am as well as we are knocking off the cafes we can't get to during the weekend's we decided another early cafescapade. Today's target The Kitchen Table Cafe and Bake.

Early Cafescapading today for the very reason Paula is too cheap to pay for parking... However over the next few days since we are on vacation we intend to get to a couple of cafes that are only open during the week and not open on weekends. The joys of being on holiday.

So since we were at Bunnings Warehouse getting a few bits and pieces, and we thought well since we are here we might as well get this one done and dusted and out of the way for today's Cafescapade... Bunnings Warehouse Cafe is one of the ones I have been dreading and have avoided for years as it was one of the worst coffee I had in in a long time.

This is one of the cafe's that again we have been many times before we started this Cafescapade, but being Easter Sunday we were lucky it was open. To our overseas readers New Zealand has an archaic laws about trading over Easter, and especially Easter Sunday.

Easter Saturday, there will be a mix of cafes open and closed so instead of randomly driving around looking to see who is open and who is not... a little research from Mr Google your friendly neighbourhood search engine that seems to know everything to give us an answer and well it gave us an answer.

So it is Easter Friday which basically means there are no Cafes open however we did find one "Nighthawk's Bar & Cafe". We have been to this place many many times, and celebrated many events there from bringing in the New Year to Nighthawk's party's to it being Friday and Nighthawk wanting a bourbon. We also heard a rumour that where there is an event on here that this place can go off with a bang and people always have a good time.

We decided to go to Macandrew Bay's "The Duck Cafe" for the cafe there was no rhyme or reason why that was the chosen cafe of the day. For non-locals Macandrew Bay whilst in Dunedin is still 15-20 minute drive down the peninsula.

Having decided we will go do our Cafescapade a little earlier this week we decided to go to the St Clair Esplanade due to the fact being slightly earlier we hoped we would be able to get a park pretty close and and not have to walk 16 blocks to get there. As it turned out we got on directly across the road.
