A New Zealand citizen who had her passport cancelled has lost a court battle in Wellington. Officials believed the woman - known as "Ms A" was planning to leave the country to join ISIS in 2016. The High Court in Wellington rejected the woman's request for a judical review on the matter.

A Hindu community group is calling for Diwali to be made a public holiday in New Zealand starting from 2022.

The president of Universal Society of Hinduism, Rajan Zed, said that the government needs to revisit its public holiday policies as the country's demography has changed.

Here is what I want to know. How strong of a stance is the new current Labour government going to be on breaches of our EEZ with reports  Chinese fishing vessels in New Zealand's EEZ. With Labour and their cosying up to CCP and China (to be fair so was National)  there are reports that Chinese fishing vessels were fishing in our EEZ during the election campaign.

Due to enter service in years. Back in July 2018, the New Zealand government announced the purchase of four P-8As, to begin operations in 2023. Four P-8As were ordered in March 2019, completion is expected by June 2020. This purchase also meant that the main base of operations had to move from Hobsinville/Whenuapui Air Base to Ohakea Air Base, and even then infrastructure has to be built to accommodate the new aircraft.
