A South Korean citizen who tested positive for Covid-19 after travelling from New Zealand spent more than 14 hours in an airport transit lounge.

Is the long China-New Zealand honeymoon finally drawing to a close?
New Zealand has for a long time benefited from a close relationship with China. Throughout the last decade the two countries have phased in the provisions of a free trade deal agreed to in 2008. China is now and has been for some time New Zealand’s second largest trading partner after only Australia. The New Zealand Government has suspended its extradition treaty with Hong Kong and made a number of other changes in light of China's decision to pass a national security law for Hong Kong.
