Labour MP Tāmati Coffey is condemning New Zealand media for what he has described as "institutional racism" following two news stories involving Māori filmmakers. 

Coffey, MP for Waiariki, wrote a Facebook post comparing two stories he had seen covered in the news: Māori film director Taika Waititi winning an Academy Award and Māori filmmaker Renae Maihi's court case with Sir Bob Jones.

 No wonder we are so divided, ... you want to divide and redivide and the divide that group... I thought Jacinda said "we are one", one people, New Zealand or Kiwi's.  If we are going to go on and on about race, creed colour of skin, we will never rid ourselves of racism, by continually dividing us in to groups, you will not rid the racism but generate more...

A home-made "working nuclear fusion reactor" has generated interest on TradeMe, but with no auction bids yet made.   

"Forged from the depths of physics," the device was made in 2018 for a school science fair by former Marlborough Boys College student Samuel Lee, now selling it to pay for university.

While this is a 3 year old article, it is the same problem we have now as we go into another election year. Nothing has really changed and the problem remains the same for the defence force... We have already had signs that this government want cutbacks as a pre-election bribe.

PHP NZ Ltd was placed into liquidation last June owing more than $1.1 million to Inland Revenue for overdue PAYE and GST and another $600,000 to unsecured creditors.
