Today while walking Rimu (our Jack Russel puppy) discussing which cafe we will visit today it was decided we will go to Cafe Aroma.
So Cafe Aroma it was, any way making a quick trip to the tip to drop off some recycling then heading back to South Dunedin.

Again we surprised ourselves by getting a car park pretty close to the cafe. Our guess it was pure timing.
Wandering in there was already quite a few people dining which was is always a good sign.
They had a good selection of cabinet food, pie's, sausage rolls, and pastry's sandwiches, scones and muffins and cakes and sweets etc. So decisions had to be made, x2 sausage rolls, date scone and savory muffin. Add in our two coffees ... we were hungry.
It did not take very long at all and our sausage rolls were being delivered to our table followed up by the date scone and savory muffin. Our coffee's did not take that much longer either.

We both said the sausage roll was really good. Xaria did state that it was up there with her favourite, and commenting on her Facebook page "One of the best sausage rolls I think we have had." The texture was smooth and tasted really good. Xaria also enjoyed her date scone. My savory scone was also pretty darn good as well. The coffee was a good strong brew, but that is personal taste and we don't rate coffees as there are to many different factors and personal tastes involved.
The staff were friendly, the place was clean and tidy and tables cleaned up pretty quickly allowing for patrons to reuse the table reasonably quickly.
Price wise, we thought was also reasonable for 2 coffee's, 2 sausage rolls, a muffin and scone for $27.50 I thought that was not too bad at all.
Over all this was a great wee cafe, and was great cafescapade experience and if they don't change the recipe of the sausage roll we'll be back.
