The man, known only as Edward, told ApexTV he was part of a top-secret time-travelling experiment in 2004 and was sent 3,000 years into the future

A man claiming to be a "time-traveller from the year 5000" says entire cities will be underwater because of climate change and he has photographic evidence.

The man, known only as Edward, told ApexTV he was part of a top-secret time-travelling experiment in 2004 and was sent 3,000 years into the future.

He says the picture is of a submerged Los Angeles in the future

To his surprise, the man claims that when he arrived in the future he was presented with the sight of Los Angeles submerged by a great body of water, Daily Star reports.

Edward says he had been working in LA in a laboratory, when he said he was given an assignment to go into the future and take photographs.

In the video the man's face is blurred and his voice distorted as he tells the story, supposedly to protect his identity.

He said: "I will tell you a story which will amaze you and you will be astonished.

"I appeared to 'place'. It was unbelievable.

"I was standing on a huge wooden platform. Not only me, houses, building, of course, all made from wood. And after, I realised it was the same city, Los Angeles, but underwater."

The video was posted on Apex TV

Edward also claimed that he had spoken with people who live there, who told him the flood had happened due to global warming.

Last week, a "time traveller" claiming to be from the year 2491 said giant aliens with a "distorted appearance" will arrive on Earth in 2022.

The adventurer, who goes by the name "futuretimetraveller" on TikTok, revealed some of the details of the "extraterrestrial species" and bizarrely claimed they will "spark war" with humans.

Another recently made a bonkers claim that there would be pyramids in the sky and warned viewers to "not look up at them" when, or if, his outrageous prediction occurs.

And TikTok account "Time Voyager", who claims to have arrived in real-time Earth in December 2020, posted on social media that there will be a great wave hitting in the summer of 2021.

According to NASA: "Although humans can't hop into a time machine and go back in time, we do know that clocks on airplanes and satellites travel at a different speed than those on Earth.

NASA said humans can't go back in time

"We can't use a time machine to travel hundreds of years into the past or future.

"That kind of time travel only happens in books and movies.

"But the math of time travel does affect the things we use every day, for example, GPS satellites."
