Australia cannot let Papua New Guinea allow a “declared enemy” to establish a potential military base on our doorstep, according to Sky News host Cory Bernardi.

China has recently announced it will build a new $200 million fishery complex at Daru Island in PNG’s western province and a mere six-hour boat ride from Thursday Island off the coast of Australia’s northern-most point.

Let's talk about Naval Combat Management Systems...

The ANZAC frigates of the RNZN have just had a systems upgrade which we have mentioned on here many a times and the systems upgrades include switching from the older version of 9LV Combat System from Saab to the newer CMS330 from Lockheed Martin which is very loosely based on their Aegis Combat System which they obtained through buying and merging with various companies.

New South Wales has announced tighter COVID-19 restrictions as cases surge and a new cluster has emerged.

The Australian state's Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced 18 new locally acquired cases were recorded in the 24 hours until 8pm on Tuesday night, along with seven new cases at the border.

The European Union and United States on Tuesday (local time) criticised the jailing of a citizen-journalist in China who reported on the early outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic from Wuhan.

On Monday (local time), a Chinese court handed down a four-year jail term to Zhang Zhan, who reported at the peak of the crisis in the city where the coronavirus first emerged. Her lawyer said Zhang was jailed on the grounds of "picking quarrels and provoking trouble".
