Note from Nighthawk.NZ:

"with the added trust of Microsoft" ... And then you try and stop freedom of choice and try to push users away with prompts... which is the reason more and more people are leaving the Windows and MS platform... they don't trust you.

Myanmar's deposed leader Aung San Suu Kyi was jailed for four years on Monday on charges of incitement and breaching coronavirus restrictions, a source familiar with the proceedings said, in a case critics dismissed as a farce.

President Win Myint was also sentenced to four years in prison, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, as the court delivered its first verdicts against civilian leaders detained in a February 1 military coup.

China will take "countermeasures" in protest against a planned U.S. diplomatic boycott of the Olympics if necessary, Beijing's foreign ministry said on Monday.

The Biden administration is expected to announce on Monday that U.S. government officials will not attend the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, a source familiar with the situation said Monday, confirming earlier reports by CNN and NBC.

Note from Nighthawk.NZ:

Just threatening to take "countermeasures" to any country that boycott's is enough for me to just boycott the Bejing Olympics.  If you start threatening like it doesn't help people then start to dig their heels in and stick to their word...

Personally while the CCP are in power they should have never got the rights to host either the summer or winter Olympics after the way the treat other countries, and especially the way they treating the Uyghurs and slowly performing genocide on them. CCP can get fucked.

So NZ will say this openly against the Taliban but not the CCP for the Uyghurs... Interesting... very interesting.

The coronavirus pandemic has weakened China's power in the Indo-Pacific, and the region's deepening security uncertainties present a "significant" risk of war, the Lowy Institute said in a report on Sunday.

U.S. allies in the region and key balancing powers such as India have never been more dependent on American capacity and willingness to sustain a military and strategic counterweight in response to China's rise, said the Sydney-based foreign policy think tank.
