For a wee, while now my (8 years) old computer had starting to play up and the fan would come on slow it down... It getting frustrating board line biting the bullet and invest in a new PC. However I have always said, even when I was the IT geek, and now just a standard user, I always said, that only upgrade to meet your needs and wants. No need to go and buy a fancy quad-core 64bit, 16 GB ram blah blah blah if all you are going to do is email and vise versa there is no point just buying a plain business computer if you are going to play the latest 3D Games.

Those that know me know I am also a musician, and knowing that means whilst I don't need the greats graphics card, The sound card is up there... errr was. Also, those that know me, also know that I am a graphic artist... again this is not 3D animation, just your standard graphic designer. So the graphics card is not top of the line (for its day) but again was up there.

So I was considering buying the new PC, but decided that it can hold off a bit more, and I will just give it a bit of a cleanout...

Took the side off the PC and then said..."Oh Dear..." and just had to take of photo of it. Getting the air compressor out and a dust mask on gave it a good blow out and clean... took about 20 minutes... but been going fine since...

The point of this blog, this computer has been reliable, (up until a wee while ago), My needs for a computer have not changed, internet/email , (check), Graphic design (check), Creating Music (check)... So if me needs haven't changed, and this computer does it all, do I need to upgrade...

No, not really :-)
