A woman who was critically injured after being hit by a car in Christchurch has died of her injuries more than two weeks later.  

A police spokeswoman said the woman was hit by a car at a residential property on Sylvia St in Parklands about 7am on October 13. 

The woman was taken to Christchurch Hospital and remained there until she died on Thursday morning.

"Police extend their condolences to her family and friends. An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is continuing," the spokeswoman said.
