When your partners parents come to visit from Alexandra because they need to go shopping (as well as seeing the optometrist) it would be rude not to go to a cafe with them as well.
Name: The Albion.
Address: Albion Lane, 272 George Street, Dunedin 9016

So we chose to go to a cafe that we have tried to go to twice before and missed out due to timing and they are one of the few that are not open over the weekend so that makes it a little more difficult to get to. However today since we are on holiday we decided that is where we would go.
Not having to worry about finding a car park as we parked in the Meridian Mall parking complex for the day and wandered the streets the girls went and did their thing at the optometrist, while Roley and I went off and did our thing ... what ever that was.
Receiving the text to say they had finished at the optometrist we looked at the time and it was lunch time so we wandered down to The Albion Cafe.
The Albion is one of those quaint cafes. It is down an ally-way with other shops linking George Street with Great King Street shopping mall.
They had plenty to choose from in the cabinet from savory to sweet, and I was hungry requiring a cheese roll and sausage roll.

Me being me order a bucket of coffee's, and basically say the biggest cup you got... And I have to say this is the first cafe that offered a Mug... It wasn't long before our food arrived, cheese rolls, sausage roll, scones and etc... I can't remember what every one ordered. We enjoyed what we order and was over all pretty good. The one thing was we we ordered the cheese rolls, they offered Garlic Butter or regular butter and of course we said garlic... however we only got standard butter... (and kiwi's be as bad as we are didn't really bring that up and we need to)
However overall it was pretty good the cheese roll was good even though it didn't get the garlic butter, coffees were in general were pretty good, though they did forget the side of milk for Margaret's Amerciano. But that was sorted pretty quickly and and easily.
The service was overall friendly and from memory the price wasn't to bad, but since I didn't pay for it I really can't comment to much there... but would say on average it was comparable to everywhere else. Overall we did enjoy it.
