This one has been on the list for quite a while but hadn’t made it as it doesn’t open until 11.
Advertised as café bar and restaurant and that is exactly what it is.

Didn’t completely have the café feel, partially as we were the first people there. 11.30 so decided to have something for lunch, but there was a small serve over food section and a note saying that they did cheese rolls.
Very nice service – we ordered our two flat whites and they came quite promptly while we decided what to have for lunch. I went for a crispy chicken wrap which came with a small serve of fries and Nighthawk went for sausage eggs and chips.

The food came out quickly and the chips were nice and crunchy, so even though we were the first people there they had the vats on. The chicken wrap was very tasty, I think it had a processed chicken schnitzel for the chicken and then a nice salad that was all toasted in the wrap. Nighthawk said his meal was nice and the sausages were not the cheap sausages but certainly not gourmet types.
I do not know if I would arrange to meet up with people there – possibly for dinner or lunch but we discussed that it would be a great location for a function such as a wedding. We asked the server what the building had been used for as our thought is that it had been a town hall or something with the stage at the back and it had been a friendship hall (possibly - I didn’t write it down) similar to a masonic hall.
