Being Sunday we got a car park across the road, even with all the road works going on. However it was early on in the day.
Govs Cafe an iconic Dunedin café since 1977, and have a nice range freshly baked snacks from the cabinet and generous menu meals.
While it was early there was already a few people there eating and waiting on their take away coffee's.
I ordered the English muffin, savory scone and coffee, while Xaria ordered the eggs benedict and coffee.
Our coffee's came first, followed by Xaria's eggs benedict and my scone... my english muffin took a little bit longer as the apparently there was a mix up in the kitchen that he didn't realise they were part of the same order.

Xaria enjoyed her eggs benedict, and says you usually can gone wrong and she can't really go past having it. I enjoyed my english muffin (when I finally got it). The scone was okay as well probably could have been heated that little bit longer.
The service and staff was good and friendly enough. The cost was up there but we did get more than just our standard scones and coffees. Govs has that cafe feeling and ambiance to here. It would be a cafe you orginise to meet up with friends that you haven't seen in a while for a catch up. but to be fair the wooden chairs are,'t the comfy and my bony butt felt it. However other than the slightly longer wait for my order we enjoyed our visit to Govs.
