New Zealand Defence Reserve Force members are engaged in many aspects of Operation Protect. In particular, they form part of the NZDF security and management details at Managed Isolation and Quarantine facilities around the country. Many have taken leave from their normal work to help out. Defence Minister Peeni Henare sees no reason to invoke existing legislation to protect their civilian employment while they work on the COVID frontline. He should explain why.

New analysis suggests unvaccinated people could be reinfected with COVID-19 every 16 months on average.

A recent study at the Yale School of Public Health in Connecticut, US, published in The Lancet Microbeanalysed immunological data from close viral relatives of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, to determine how long natural immunity from infection lasts for unvaccinated individuals - indicating when they should expect to become reinfected with COVID-19.

Turkey's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday summoned the ambassadors of the United States, New Zealand and eight other countries to protest a statement they issued that called for the release of imprisoned philanthropist and civil rights activist Osman Kavala in line with a European Court of Human Rights decision.

The statement angered government officials who accused the countries of meddling in the Turkish judiciary.

An Auckland real estate agent has apologised for an "unacceptable" post where he offered unvaccinated Kiwis discounted rates.

Tim Webb, who markets himself as an Agent of Change, posted to his Facebook page on Thursday that as a "formal protest" he was going to increase his usual 2 percent fee to 4 percent for clients who have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Well how would he know unless he asks and you give an answer? As you don't have to answer that question whether you are vaccinated or not. He then says well I will no sell your house... you say ok I will get another "Real Estate Agent" he just shot himself in the foot. You can choose any Real Estate Agent you wish. he puts up his commission you simply choose another agent and fire his arse. Again shot himself in the foot. He asks if you are vaccinated... you ask for another agent or go to another company. Again shot himself in the foot. he is the one loosing out not you as the seller or buyer.

Remember by law you don't even need to go through a real estate agent. By law you don't have to give personal details like this if you don't wish to.

Real Estate Agents are amongst the least trusted people on the planet as it is... and now you just made it worse.

The Government doesn't have a concrete plan to move Auckland on from COVID-19 lockdowns and is "providing no hope for Aucklanders", the Opposition claims.

On Monday, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced Auckland would remain in COVID-19 alert level 3 for at least another two weeks. She told the 4pm press conference the Government would reveal a vaccination target for when restrictions could ease, but not until Friday.
