A senior Russian security official warned Britain on Wednesday not to sail its warships near Russian-annexed Crimea again unless it wanted its sailors to get hurt.
The warning, issued by Mikhail Popov, deputy secretary of Russia's Security Council, follows an incident last month when British warship HMS Defender exercised what London said were internationally recognised freedom of navigation rules in Ukrainian territorial waters near Crimea.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is urging other nations to "let go of narrow, nationalistic approaches" to help the world heal from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Police, as an organisation, has come out in support of the Mongrel Mob-led drug rehab programme awarded $2.75 million of government funding.
In a statement, Assistant Commissioner Sandy Venables said police supported the Ministry of Health's application for the funding from the Proceeds of Crime fund.

The Government is facing further backlash from the Opposition over its decision to sign off millions of dollars to a Mongrel Mob rehab programme while Mike King's Gumboot Friday is desperate for help.
Nearly $3 million in funding seized from gangs and criminals by police is being used to fund the Mongrel Mob's Kahukura drug and trauma rehabilitation scheme, Hawke's Bay Today newspaper revealed on Monday. The initiative is a live-in marae-based programme that aims to address trauma and drug-seeking behaviour.

China's military said it "drove away" a U.S. warship that illegally entered Chinese waters near the Paracel Islands on Monday, the anniversary of an international court ruling that held Beijing had no claim over the South China Sea.
The Chinese comments resembled the usual reaction from Beijing following freedom of navigation operations by U.S. warships held almost every month in the South China Sea.

Aircrew on a Royal New Zealand Air Force C-130 Hercules have carried out a medical evacuation of a patient from McMurdo Station in Antarctica.
The aircraft, with 13 crew on board including two New Zealand Defence Force medical personnel, left Christchurch for Antarctica at 10.25pm yesterday. The aircraft landed back in Christchurch shortly after 2pm today.
