There is evidence of European-produced potato fries being 'dumped' in the New Zealand market at a loss, says a New Zealand industry body, who warns the 'bad faith' practice threatens local businesses and must be stopped.

COVID-19 lockdowns and less people eating out have slowed demand for hot potato chips in European restaurants, and left their suppliers with a glut on their hands.

For CANZUK to advance beyond a free trade and free movement cooperation thought in other areas to those two areas will be needed. One key area in which there is scope for significant advantage to CANZUK integration is foreign policy. However, it comes with three key balances between competing aims that will need to be resolved for any such suggestions of foreign policy unity to work, those being: the need to balance the benefits of acting in unity with the independence of each kingdom; the benefits of deploying force compared to getting stuck in unwinnable situations that cannot be withdrawn from; and the desire to undermine the power of tyrannies in the United Nations whilst keeping a rules-based international order.

A count issued by an independent researcher in Yangon who has been compiling near-real time death tolls put the total as darkness fell at 93, spread over more than two dozen cities and towns. The online news site Myanmar Now reported the death toll had reached 91.

On Friday (local time), North Korea said it had launched a new type of tactical short-range ballistic missile. Biden said the test violated UN Security Council resolutions, but he remained open to diplomacy with Pyongyang.
