Two people have been arrested in Wellington after allegedly breaching alert level 4 restrictions, and police are also investigating another suspected breach in Queenstown - reportedly involving a high profile Kiwi.
A police spokesperson confirmed a 24-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were arrested in Wellington on Saturday after allegedly travelling from Auckland to Wellington.

The defence chiefs of the members of the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) had a crucial dialogue in June. With the announcement recently that Australia will procure 8 nuclear-powered submarines and forming a new trilateral security group with the UK, and US called AUKUS. How has AUKUS changed the playing field in the geopolitical arena?
New Zealand was left out of the discussions and people pointing out that it is we are friends not Allies with the US, and we can no longer be trusted with security matters. New Zealand’s woeful attempts appeasing allies. Our sea blindness politicians, and our cosying up to the CCP due to trade. And that last one is important.
