New Zealand has recorded 1422 cases of COVID-19, but this week saw the number of recovered cases surpass those that are still active.

Broken down, 1094 are confirmed COVID-19 cases, while 328 are probable. There are currently 20 people in hospital, with three people in intensive care. Two of those are in a critical condition.

New Zealand's COVID-19 death toll remains at 11, with no more reported at Saturday's daily update.

Forgoing its regular daily press conference, the Ministry of Health said in a statement at 1:15pm there are 13 more cases of the deadly disease in New Zealand, bringing the total to 1422.

 I don't believe the lab-created the virus, like some of the conspiracies, would have you believe (or not), however, there is evidence that there was a lab studying various versions of coronavirus since the SARS outbreak and a bit of evidence that it leaked from there via a lab technician who went to the wet markets... I can guarantee that this will be covered up by the CCP.

A uniformed member of New Zealand's Defence Force (NZDF) has been spat on and abused while shopping at a Wellington supermarket, prompting a naval base to briefly ban military uniforms in public during the coronavirus lockdown.

The incident has since been reported to the police, and the staffer is awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test as they self-isolate at home.
