The resurgence was widely predicted, with most of the country free of coronavirus restrictions in July, August and September; but impacted by the August outbreak in Auckland.

Boeing has recently received a $109 million US Navy contract to provide P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft training for the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF).
New Zealand is buying four submarine hunters under a March 2020 contract with the US Navy. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2023.

Boeing has been recently awarded a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract, valued at $109 million, by the U.S. Navy to provide P-8A Poseidon training for the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF).
A suite of training systems and courseware will prepare RNZAF aircrew and maintainers to safely and effectively operate and maintain the maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft for decades to come.

An Australian regulator sued Facebook on Wednesday (local time) accusing it of collecting user data without permission, building on government efforts around the world to rein in the social network.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said it was seeking an unspecified fine from Facebook for promoting a virtual private network as a way for people to protect their data, while secretly using the information to pick targets for commercial acquisitions.
