Citizens and permanent residents intending to return to New Zealand are reportedly able to obtain fake certificates claiming they have tested negative for COVID-19 to ensure they can enter the country.
In accordance with the Government's pre-departure testing rule, prospective returnees are required to present a report certifying they have tested negative for the virus within the 72 hours prior to their flight.

A Defence Force member traumatised on top secret operations should not be kicked out of the force for indecently assaulting two women, his lawyer says.
Corporal Benjamin Stewart, 40, now has post-traumatic stress disorder due to his service and treatment would likely have to come from mental health professionals with top secret clearance speaking to him in a secure environment, lawyer Michael Bott told a Court Martial Appeal Court hearing in Wellington on Monday.

The whistleblower who discovered people's private data could be seen on the Canterbury District Health Board's COVID-19 vaccination booking system says the breach is worse than the Government's letting on.
The Ministry of Health admitted on Saturday more than 700 people's details could have been viewed, including their name, gender, age, and NHI number. But the whistleblower, named Bryce, claims vaccine details could also be messed around with.

Canada and the UK are set to announce an enhanced multi-billion-dollar trade deal. The UK is set to announce an enhanced trade deal with Canada, the trade secretary has said, after the two nations ratified a post-Brexit agreement last week.
Speaking at a Conservative Friends of Australia event on Zoom this evening, Liz Truss said the UK was working “very closely” with “like-minded partners” to tackle issues such as China as part of ongoing trade discussions.

For CANZUK to advance beyond a free trade and free movement cooperation thought in other areas to those two areas will be needed. One key area in which there is scope for significant advantage to CANZUK integration is foreign policy.
