XJ 650 Special (MAXIM)

XJ 650 Special (MAXIM) Eagle Express Couriers era... 

  • Bikini Fairing.
  • Spot driving light
  • Full touring Givi side saddle and top box luggage
  • Tank cover, and tank bag tabs
  • AM/FM radio Tape Deck removed added CB with mounted speakers in the helmet. (this was the start of Eagle Express Couriers)
  • 9 foot CB whip ariel.

XJ 650 Special (MAXIM) Eagle Express Couriers era... (just before sold Eagle Express) 

  • New Bikini Fairing.
  • Spot driving light moved to fairing mount.
  • Spot driving light cover.
  • Full touring Givi side saddle and top box luggage.
  • Tank cover, and tank bag tabs.
  • Mirrors from (some car) mounted to fairing instead of standard stork mirrors.
  • AM/FM radio Tape Deck, removed added CB with mounted speakers in the helmet. (this was the start of Eagle Express Couriers.)
  • 9 foot CB whip ariel.

At one stage there was also an RT ariel on the opposite side of the 9 foot whip and a small radio ariel on the top box behind pillion seat backrest. These were temporarily mounted in the top box for testing.

XJ 650 Special (MAXIM) Eagle Express Couriers era...

  • CB before we went to RT mounted in fairing.
  • Loudspeaker above CB. Speakers were also mounted in the helmet via quick plug and we had push to talk buttons on handlebars. The mic and speaker were used when not riding or I had helmet unplugged etc.
  • Volt metre
  • The switch was for the spot driving light.
  • From memory, the second spot switch was eventually used to independently power the accessory socket.
  • Battery waterproof clock.
  • Radar detector.

XJ650 Special (MAXIM) just before I sold her. In touring mode ( Make sure do routine maintenance. 140,000 KMs and not one major engine issue. Had a few electrical issues but that is another story.)  I toured all over New Zealand both North and South Island on this bike in this configuration. Apparently, she is still been ridden today however she is now blue 

  • Full touring Givi side saddle and top box luggage and repainted.
  • AM/FM radio Tape Deck, with mounted speakers.
  • Side storage pockets on the fairing.
  • x2 accessory sockets in the fairing
  • Cobby Motorcycle exhausts.
  • Recovered seat.
  • Painted header pipes.
  • Crash bars removed.
