The Ministry of Health is investigating two further possible Covid-19 cases in Auckland, according to Newshub.
The pair were staying at the Pullman Hotel in the CBD – the same facility where the Northland community case stayed – and have since been released.
After news of the case broke on Sunday, all 353 people who were at the Pullman at the same time as the affected woman were asked to self-isolate and be tested for Covid-19.
They have returned weak positive test results, and are now at home isolating, Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins' office told Newshub.
Hipkins said earlier on Wednesday that 255 former guests of the Pullman had tested negative, and more tests were pending.
Two other people had returned weak positive results. One was a historical case, and one turned out to be negative, Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield said.
Stuff has sought comment from Hipkins, Health Minister Andrew Little, and the Ministry of Health.
