The article has many inaccuracies... I personally wouldn't go as far as saying "preparations to join US war against China"  However there are signs it was because of China's increasing influence in our backyard, and every nation has the right to defend its interests and region.

The 20 billion is over 15 years not 10 and was started by the previous government in 2016. Both the Greens supported and Labour and NZ First said it wasn't enough. So...  It was not started by the present Labour government.

Defence Minister Ron Mark has always called for the military budget to be increased and increased significantly, he wants the budget to be 2 per-cent of GDP and he has never waivered from this. 

The final paragraph "The bloc of NZ First, which has a long history of promoting anti-Asian xenophobia" is complete rubbish, however, it was about immigration into NZ, in general, to reduce our overall numbers of immigration, and do better background checks etc, as the economy was not keeping up with the influx, it just so happens that was the response from China which is complete BS, however, it has stuck in some peoples minds as and a lot of immigrants are from China. Some people fall for the propaganda.

There are many other inaccuracies from this article and most of it is way out on the left-field... and I mean way out... and inaccurate.
