A man who filmed himself coughing and sneezing on shoppers is in custody after allegedly breaching his bail.
Raymond Gary Coombs, 38, pleaded guilty in the Christchurch District Court on April 6 to a charge of offensive behaviour.
He uploaded a video to Facebook on March 31, showing him intentionally coughing on customers at Fresh Choice Barrington. He said he had been infected with Covid-19.
Coombs, who was described as "an idiot" by the Prime Minister, was initially charged with endangering life by criminal nuisance and obstruction of a medical officer of health after his "drunken prank" during the country's coronavirus lockdown.

One News reported he made a video appearance in the Christchurch District Court on Monday, charged with failing to comply with his release conditions by emailing a woman without prior permission.
His initial bail conditions were that he not access the internet for anything other than communicating with friends and family.
Coombs has been remanded in custody until his sentencing on May 19.
