Health officials are investigating a possible case of coronavirus at a Queenstown Hotel.
A Ministry of Health spokesperson told Newshub it has received unconfirmed reports of a person staying at the Rees Hotel with the disease.
However, the hotel claims the "rumours" are not true.
"Please note that these rumours are unfounded and untrue and there has been no outbreak of the virus in New Zealand," a post on the hotel's Facebook page said on Monday night.
The Ministry of Health says enquiries are being made by the Southern DHB.
