Police in Wairarapa have admitted to illegally taking photos of youths after RNZ alerted them to multiple reports of officers stopping and photographing young Māori on the street.
Whānau describe their sons walking alone in broad daylight, when police have approached and insisted they take their picture.

Thirty new coronavirus cases have been recorded in New South Wales (NSW) overnight, Premier Gladys Berejikilian has announced, 28 of which are directly linked to a growing cluster on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
Berejikilian told a news briefing on Sunday that greater Sydney will now be placed under tighter restrictions, with no more than 10 guests allowed in a household, while social distancing curbs have also been placed on hospitality venues.

Six new imported cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in New Zealand over the past two days, the Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.
The cases were detected in managed isolation and quarantine facilities (MIQ), with no new evidence of community transmission to report.

CEO and founder Peter Beck, speaking at TC Sessions: Space, talked about how he and the company have taken on ever more responsibilities without burning out.

The Naval Service is planning to acquire two new ships for post-Brexit fishery protection patrols in the Irish Sea next year.
They will be smaller than the 90m-long vessels currently being used as larger ships are needed to patrol the Atlantic during bad weather, whereas the weather in the Irish Sea isn't as inclement.

It's understood that two ships not being used by a foreign navy are currently being examined and a formal approach to purchase them could be made soon. An option to have them purpose-built is also being considered, with sources saying they could be built by a European shipyard within six months.
Makes me wonder are they looking at the the RNZN's two IPV's
