When the Prime Minister is occasionally asked, she bats the question away with a stock answer: she rejected religion in her mid-twenties and never looked back. As far as the public knows, the Prime Minister was brought up as a Mormon but renounced her faith in 2005 - and that was that.

Five Aucklanders who turned up for their Covid-19 vaccine last month may have got a dose of saline solution instead, but the Ministry of Health still has not told them.
The ministry still has not been able to say what will be done to ensure those affected will receive two full Pfizer doses.

Those hunkering down include employees of the collapsed government, civil society activists and women. They are desperate for news that they might be granted asylum somewhere else.

A large group of dirt bike riders seen riding around the streets of south Auckland during lockdown has sparked local residents’ concern.
Locals said the bikers have been riding in groups down Great South Rd, Papatoetoe, almost every day since New Zealand entered level 4 lockdown on August 18.
