They've been granted New Zealand visas but can't escape. Now, an interpreter is pleading for the Government to do more before "they're found and killed" by the Taliban.

A bomb disposal squad was deployed to a British hospital after receiving reports that a man had an anti-tank shell lodged in his rectum, officials confirmed to local media.

A team from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment attended the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Gloucester, a county town in South West England, after being notified by police "that a patient had presented with a munition in his rectum".

Efforts to put together a global treaty on pandemic preparedness and response are taking too long, a group co-led by former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark has concluded.

The Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response was set up by the World Health Organization (WHO) last year to assess the response to COVID-19, and find ways to prevent it from happening again.
