Three private air flights have landed in New Zealand from China in the past 10 days, Customs has confirmed.

It comes amid a worsening global outbreak of the deadly coronavirus which has killed more than 400 people and infected thousands more, with most of the victims in China.

A state of emergency has been declared in Southland as extensive flooding causes significant problems across the region.

The Public Perceptions of New Zealand's Environment online survey released by Lincoln University was completed by 2000 people and looked at what people think about the state of the environment.
