Race Relations Commissioner Meng Foon says a recent YouTube video threatening violence against Māori is "extreme white supremacist" behaviour. 

Foon told Newshub he wants "everything under the law [to] be thrown at these people or this person for inciting violence".

"Stubborn resistance" is the phrase used in the latest ASB Housing Confidence survey, out on Friday, which shows overwhelming confidence remains in a market already at record highs.

It should be danger signs for New Zealand that Taiwan, a country that's only vaccinated 1 percent of its population, is experiencing a spike in COVID-19 cases, a leading medical expert says.

After months of safety and no community transmission of COVID-19, Taiwan is battling a surge of locally acquired infections - recording more than 600 cases and 11 deaths on Wednesday.

Hong Kong’s legislature on Thursday passed a bill amending electoral laws that drastically reduces the public’s ability to vote and increases the number of pro-Beijing lawmakers making decisions for the city.

The new law empowers the city’s national security department to check the backgrounds of potential candidates for public office and a sets up a new committee to ensure candidates are “patriotic.”

Dawn is creating next-generation space transportation technologies.  This investment will be used to scale the production of Dawn’s in-space propulsion products, and to progress Dawn’s Mk-II, a suborbital plane that utilises rocket engines, to a fully-fledged commercial service.

Samoa's Attorney General is seeking to remove judges from sitting on a critical election-related court case, claiming they've displayed a pattern of favouritism towards the FAST Party. 

But an Auckland legal scholar says it shows the Office of the Attorney General has been compromised and their claim is "frivolous and silly".
