A drug-addled driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel before ploughing into an oncoming car, killing himself and two others, according to coronial findings.
Haydn David Clark, 20, who had a history of driving offences, had ingested methamphetamine and cannabis before he got behind the wheel of a Mazda on the night of April 19, 2018.

A man has died after a police pursuit in the Bay of Plenty overnight.
Bay of Plenty road policing manager Inspector Brent Crowe said initial indications were that the 27-year-old died after losing control of his vehicle on a a sweeping right-hand bend in Whakatāne.

A North Shore teenager who admitted raping two schoolgirls and violating another - while they were too drunk to stop him - has been sentenced to 12 months' home detention on the basis of his age and previous good character.
