Former US President Donald Trump has asked a court to mandate that Twitter restore his social media account, in a Florida court filing made late Friday (local time).

In the court document, Trump asked a District Court judge for the Southern District of Florida for a preliminary injunction enabling his online return, while his lawsuit against the social media giant continues.

Most of New Zealand looks set to stay at alert level 2 after an outbreak of Covid-19 in Waikato was confirmed on Sunday.

The latest virus spread triggered stricter lockdown measures around Hamilton and makes it unlikely the Government will use Monday’s scheduled review to relax the rules elsewhere. However, at least one expert is calling for a more nuanced approach to ease restrictions in the South Island.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has suspended mail deliveries to New Zealand due to an unavailability of transportation.

The USPS said on its website that it was temporarily suspending international mail acceptance for a number of destinations.

A soldier charged with espionage is accused of stashing classified documents in a chiller bag and taking copies of layout documentation of the Linton Military Camp, including a letter assessing vulnerabilities in its physical security.

Charging documents obtained by RNZ also show the soldier is accused of being a member of two far-right groups and holding a copy of the March 15 terror attacks livestream, classified as objectionable by the Chief Censor.

Dissatisfaction with the Labour Government is mounting among small business owners, a new survey has found.

Almost half (46 percent) of those surveyed thought the National Party had a better understanding of their business needs, followed by the Labour Party at 30 percent and ACT at 23 percent.
