The Royal Family is allegedly "distressed and angry" following Prince Harry's "hurtful" comments about royal life, in which he compared his role in the monarchy to "living in a zoo".

A group of Democratic U.S. lawmakers on Tuesday urged Facebook Inc to drop plans for a version of photo-sharing app Instagram for children younger than 13, saying the social media company had failed to "make meaningful commitments to protecting kids online."
Senators Ed Markey and Richard Blumenthal and Representatives Kathy Castor and Lori Trahan said Facebook had not addressed their concerns.

Taiwan appealed to people to avoid panic buying of items such as instant noodles and toilet paper as new curbs on gatherings and movement took effect to rein in the spread of COVID-19 during a spike in domestic infections.
Taiwan raised its coronavirus alert level in the capital, Taipei, and the surrounding city, on Saturday, imposing two weeks of restrictions that will shut many venues and limit gatherings. It reported 206 new domestic infections on Sunday.

ANALYSIS: When Australian Treasurer Josh Frydenberg handed down the Australian Federal Budget on Tuesday, it marked a step-change: Instead of the job of Treasurer being to try and balance the books, it was now going to be using taxpayer money to drive unemployment down.
Principally, the Aussies are now going to throw down $74.6 billion over the next two years on tax cuts and business while lavishing tax breaks in sectors such as health, aged care and mental health: traditionally low wage industries, dominated by women.

The directive, which essentially means those in the public sector earning more than $60,000 will only get a pay rise in exceptional circumstances for the next three years, has infuriated some workers.
