Victoria University staff discussed keeping a "low profile" when invited on board a Chinese naval ship during its unannounced visit to New Zealand.

The Qi Jiguang slid quietly into Wellington Harbour between October 26 and 30, with no explanation from the Government or NZ Defence Force (NZDF). The navy training vessel was on a two-month tour of the Asia-Pacific region.

Hold the champagne, folks. This week’s China/US deal is more about a change in tone between the world’s two biggest economies – thank goodness they’re not slapping more tariffs on each other! - than a landmark change in substance. The high walls of US and Chinese tariffs built in recent years will largely remain intact, and few economists are predicting the deal will significantly boost the growth prospects for a slowing US economy. As the New York Times noted this morning, the likes of New Zealand will still face the trade barriers imposed by the Trump administration during the recent rounds of fighting:

The Chief of Army says there is a "minimal" chance that unexploded New Zealand munitions caused civilian deaths in Afghanistan.

And he is questioning whether the NZ Defence Force left behind any unexploded ordnance at all in the firing ranges that its soldiers used near Bamiyan.

Note from Nighthawk.NZ:

What I want to know is, what other ordnance did we take over there other than a couple of LAV's that would leave all these high explosives and unexploded ordnance rounds??? As the article said, they knew what they fired and cleared range after firing etc...

Good news, guys - it turns out there is a supplement that perhaps can give you bigger balls, and you can buy it off the supermarket shelf.

Researchers in Denmark have found men who take fish oil supplements, compared to those who don't, have higher sperm counts, more volume, higher testosterone levels and - perhaps most importantly - bigger testicles.
