New Zealand’s public military websites appear to be down on Tuesday evening.

The New Zealand Defence Force websites, including its ArmyNavy and Air Force websites, were not loading from 5pm on Tuesday.

China has issued a stern warning to New Zealand over the Government's decision to suspend its extradition treaty with Hong Kong.

The Chinese Embassy in New Zealand labelled Foreign Minister Winston Peters' announcement as a "gross interference in China's internal affairs", and to stop now to avoid harming the two countries' relations further.

A Countdown supermarket in Christchurch has closed after it was visited by the traveller who later tested positive for COVID-19 in South Korea.

The Spitfire Square supermarket near Christchurch Airport closed on Tuesday so a "deeper clean" could be undertaken.

A South Korean citizen who tested positive for Covid-19 after travelling from New Zealand spent more than 14 hours in an airport transit lounge.

Health authorities in South Korea believe the person was likely infected during transit at Singapore’s Changi Airport after leaving Christchurch on July 21, according to the Ministry of Health.
