An influencer has filmed herself licking a toilet seat on a plane as part of a TikTok "coronavirus challenge".

Ava Louise has over 21,000 followers on the social media app and a further 160,000 followers on Instagram.

Two tourists face deportation a day after arriving in New Zealand with no clear plans to self-isolate as the country tries to halt the spread of coronavirus.

They are the first to be face deportation as officials kick off spot checks of those who arrived in the country after 1am on Monday to ensure they self-isolate for 14 days.

A Dunedin school will close for at least 48 hours after a student tested positive for coronavirus.

Ministry of Health director-general of health Dr Ashley Bloomfield confirmed on Tuesday another three cases, from the existing eight. A fourth has now been confirmed by Logan Park High School in a message to parents.

Logan Park High School in Dunedin is closing for at least 48 hours after one of its students tested positive for coronavirus.

It means New Zealand now has 12 confirmed cases of the disease.

Rocket Lab  is acquiring Sinclair Interplanetary, a manufacturer of spacecraft hardware based in Toronto that has provided hardware for more than 90 satellites sent to orbit to date, including for Astro Digital, BlackSky, ALE and Rocket Lab itself. Sinclair also worked on The Planetary Society’s LightSail 2, which is an experimental spacecraft developed by a nonprofit organization to demonstrate in-space propulsion using only the energy generated by the light of the Sun.
