China gave death sentence to several Canadian citizens over drug related charges. These sentences are suspected to be retaliations against Canada’s arrest of Huawei’s CFO Meng Wanzhou. Meng is the daughter of the Company’s founder.
Meanwhile, because of the U.S. sanctions, the Chinese telecom giant Huawei will not be able to purchase its Kerin 9000 chips soon which will lead to the company not be able to manufacture its high-end smartphones.
