More bad news for shooters and dealers. Police have decided to open up another can of worms and are currently looking at how they can ban:
- S&W M&P 15-22
- Troy Pump Action Rifles
- Walter Tac R1
Reason being they say they accept parts which will also fit AR rifles, which they regard as prohibited. They expect to decide next week.
If they are successful, then other affected guns will include:
- Ruger Precision Rifles (bolt action)
- Remington 7615 pump rifles
- Ruger American Ranch rifles (bolt action)
- Any other gun which takes AR parts, or parts which fit other prohibited gun.
- Straight pull etc versions of semiauto guns eg SVT rifles.
They were still issuing import permits until very recently for the guns they are looking to ban. We even received an S43A form for one today, followed half an hour later by an email saying we can't sell them while police decide if you're allowed to use them.
