A security breach at Auckland Airport's international terminal temporarily halted all screening on Sunday afternoon.
All departing flights were briefly held so "no one in the queue missed their flights," Auckland Airport explained in a tweet.
A spokesperson confirmed to Newshub that the issue has been resolved. The airport is currently prioritising passengers through processing to avoid congestion.
"We are currently prioritising passengers on certain flights so please listen carefully to the PA announcements or ask a member of staff for what flights are being called through," Auckland Airport said in an update shortly after 3pm.
The spokesperson couldn't comment on the nature of the security breach.
Newshub has contacted Aviation Security Services for comment.
