So I decided my 2002 Ducati ST4s Needed some mods here and there... soooooo...

Mods I already had done to the duke...

or Phase One Mods

  • Aftermarket clutch slave cylinder. (to be upgraded to KBike)
  • Heated Hand Grips.
  • Ventura Pack Rack.
  • Tank re-sealed from within. (Sorry can not remember the name of the resin used.
  • Aftermarket ECU. (no longer requires a master red key)
  • MotoElectrical starter kit, new earth wire, cables and brushes for starter motor etc.
  • Half debaffled stock mufflers. (To be upgraded to GPR Furore Black)
  • GPS RAM arm for Garmin.
  • Jumper wire to the battery under the seat.

So after the Ducati came back from the doctors after being knocked over while parked at work. (Yes an insurance claim) She got a new nose fairing and painted, and she had a quick touch up on the lower fairing and looking very pretty and tidy. So I decided to a few mods. Nothing major to the engine mainly cosmetic. (but she is in need of a bath... and a polish which lets be honest I dislike doing... I am to busy riding her.)

So the below cost's does not include any shipping & handling costs and only shows unit cost, and all in NZD including GST.

Current Mod Project
Phase Two Mods

So even though I have said phase one, two and three etc, I could easily bring forward any part and or accessories into phase two... I am only breaking it into phases so I don't do it all at once and bust the bank... Currently in phase three/four. After this is all done... will I keep the bike? That I can not answer.

Anyhow the first thing I did was get the seat recovered by Lewis at Tinwald Canvas and Upholstery, and the result is awesome, he did a great job and was a pretty fast turn around. I just showed a few pictures online and said I like this but maybe in grey... he did an awesome job and already has spruced the old girl up.

Clutch upgrade

The next mod I did was the clutch, I went to Kev at MotoXtreme here in Dunedin (who has been nothing but helpful through-out the insurance claim) and has been my goto shop for all the other issues I have had with the Ducati.

I said to Kev I want a fancy looking clutch he said: "OK, what colour pressure plate?" I answered "Red" and that was basically the conversation. So basically I don't know what brand he is getting... I got and have a carbon fibre clutch cover from CarbonWorks.

The one mod I would love to do is get my hands on a Ducati Designs aftermarket headlight system for the ST2/4/s but unfortunately he no longer makes them and they are like hens teeth to get hold of. Being in NZ very very rear I have only seen one ST4 with this mod done to it here in NZ (I am sure there are more) however they are rarer than hens teeth to find.

Running total spent

Parts:
$3478.03
Mechanic:
$665.88
Total:
$4118,03
