Here is a cafe I had not known about in the past and I am not even sure how long they have been operating for.

Name: The Dish Cafe & Bar
Address: 8 Stafford Street, Central Dunedin, Dunedin 9016
Website: https://www.facebook.com/thedishonstafford and  https://petridish.co.nz/spaces/the-dish

So Xaria and I had just finished stacking 4 metres of firewood so we were a little more hungry than normal so instead of scones or cheese rolls etc from the cabinet we decided to get something off the menu.

We snuck in a park right out front... was technically a 5 minute park technically but you could also argue the way the signs were say it was a 60 minute park since that is what the closer sign said. sealed Anyhow we didn't get a ticket this time so all is good.

Like I said above Xaria and I had been moving and stacking fire wood so it was much later than normal actually was at lunch time when we left. So there was only a few things left in the cabinet (But enough to still choose if that was all we wanted) but to be fair today we decided to choose from the menu.

It was Nachos's for me and Taco Salad for Xaria as well as our normal flat white coffee's.

They had a lunch time function on there when we arrived which is a pretty good sign and it looked like they had the food all ready and waiting for them so the patrons could sit and start eating right away.

Our coffees came first and was pretty quick... and our meals not to long after as it is all pre-made and pre-heated in the serving cabinets. Now I did have a couple of mouthfuls of coffee before I started eating my nacho's now I bring this up for the obvious reasons...

We both enjoyed our meals, both and a very mild bite...  enough to say a bit of a bite but not to blow your socks off... and those that like hot spicey food, sorry I don't know if you can ask for it to be hotter or not.

Price was it was very reasonable $12.50 each dish we had and it was a reasonable size. The service was good and friendly and pretty quick overall. The coffee was good... okay the first few mouthfuls were good because after the the nachos and Taco Salad coffee is not the best tasting thing have...But to break through that we decided to have share a bit of carrot cake... yum.

The Dish did sort of have the cafe feel to it but also boarder line restaurant.  Overall we both enjoyed our visit
