Was an overcast Sunday and we decided we would go out to Mosgiel and go to a cafe that we have been to before our official Cafescapade.

We went earlier than normal. Now going earlier has it's good points and bad points. Ranging from good that there is always plenty of seating and you get served pretty quickly to they don't always have have all there cabinet food ready to served. Also being hardly anyone in the cafe can take away from that cafe feeling.
Today had that feeling to not all the cabinet food was there, no cheese rolls or sausage rolls. Also there were very few people there maybe two other people. That takes away from the cafe feeling.
Rhubarb & custard muffin and coffee... it was goodHowever we ordered a rhubarb & custard muffin and an English breakfast muffin each. Plus of course our standard flat white and soy flat white coffee's.
The rhubarb & custard muffin came first it was slightly heated... and as Xaria and I both said pudding first lets break the rules. We both have to admit the muffin was good and we mean good.

Our coffees arrived next. For me was a little to ho off the get go, and a little strong for Xaria but that is our personal tastes. We will say that this bad and it is just a passing comment as coffee is a very personal taste.
The English breakfast muffin finally came not to long afterwards and to be fair that was pretty good as well and went down well as a treat.
The service was friendly all round and didn't cost that much around $33.00. I personally thought if we were there later on and more people were there (admittedly more patrons were arriving near the end of oy visit) that it lost it's cafe feel, but I can see that if we were there later that it would have it. If that makes sense? However we both enjoyed our visit to Auroa Cafe and I would go back for Rhubarb & custard muffin.
