Eleven new COVID-19 cases have confirmed in the community in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

Ten have been linked to the Auckland cluster, and six associated with the Mt Roskill Evangelical Church - "four within the same household and two who attended church services".

"Four other cases are contacts of previously reported confirmed cases," the ministry said.

The 11th case is still being investigated.

Two more cases were picked up at the border -  a woman in her 70s and a man in his 30s, both of whom arrived from India on August 23. They both tested positive on the day three test while at the Grand Millennium in Auckland.

There are now 132 people from the Auckland cluster, including contacts, in quarantine. Eleven people are in hospital - three in Auckland City, four in Middlemore, three in North Shore and one in Waikato. Eight on a ward and three are in intensive care - at Middlemore, North Shore and Waikato.

The number of active cases is now 137, with seven people having recovered. Twenty are imported cases and 117 in the Auckland cluster.

Just shy of 10,000 tests were done on Friday, bringing the total to 740,321.

The COVID Tracer app now has 1.9 million registered users, who have scanned in 24.2 million times.
