A protest planned for outside a vegan Perth woman's house has been cancelled.

The Facebook event titled "Community BBQ for Cilla Carden" has been cancelled after a warning from Western Australia (WA) Police.

More than 24,000 reportedly clicked attending to the event, which started in response to Carden's legal action against neighbours whose barbecue fumes wafted into her garden.

"They've put it there so I can smell fish; all I can smell is fish. I can't enjoy my backyard," she told 9 News on Monday.

The cases in both the tribunal and Supreme Court of Western Australia were dismissed. Her neighbour did move the barbecue though.

"Don't let Cilla destroy a good old Aussie tradition, join us for a community BBQ in protest of her actions, and help Cilla Carden GET SOME PORK ON HER FORK," the event said.

It was planned for outside her house on October 15.

WA Police commissioner Chris Dawson told Nine News people should be careful about how they conduct themselves.

"If people are planning to protest do it in a civil, orderly way," he said.

The event has since disappeared from Facebook, but a group with the same title and description has popped up, although the reference to Carden's address or a date have disappeared.

It mostly contains people sharing photos of meat they're cooking in honour of Carden and her apparent quest against the barbecue.
